Welcome to Trout and Fly. I’m Linda from Armagh in Northern Ireland. I have been fishing over 15 years. I ran a pike fishing club with almost 70 members and a few years ago I made the move into fly fishing, I haven’t looked back since.
In my first year fly fishing I won the Troutmasters fish off at Dungannon Park Lake taking me to a place in the final at Grafham Water. Don’t ask lol
Last year I fished the Sheelin Open in Ireland with 238 anglers taking part. I managed to come 4th winning a rather impressive ‘state of the art’ Lawnmower, yes lawnmower and a lifejacket.
I am a member of the Irish Ladies Flyfishing Team and I had the pleasure of fishing the very beautiful Lake of Menteith in Scotland at this years International in June. I even managed to catch fish .
I consider myself very lucky to have fished some great places all over the UK and Ireland and with some amazing people. I joined Trout and Fly over 2 years ago and although being the only girl on the site at the time I was only ever encouraged and helped along the way by a wealth of people who have become my very good friends. Now we have many female anglers from all over.
Trout and Fly is a great place to share information on different fishing venues, meet new friends to fish with and swap ideas with fellow anglers. This forum is for everyone, from the novice to the competition angler. For male and female, young and not so young.
I hope you enjoy the site and if I can help with anything just ask.
Linda
