Hi There my name is Bobby (Moderator) troutandfly.co.uk

I am at present residing in Oshawa Ontatio, Canada, and have
done so for some 27 years. I live here with my wife Darlene aka "Oor Dee"


I can't ever remember not fishing. I used to fish the river avon in Lanarkshire, Scotland, with my Dad and various uncles all of who were born poachers, but excellent fly fishermen.

My earliest memory of seeing trout caught was with my Grandfather, catching trout on the Clyde with a line made out of braided horse hair (yes I am that old!) and a team of flies that looked like a wee hook with a bit of feather and practically no body.

I have been a member of this site almost from the start In all its previous modes. I think I was in the first 20 or members.

I am a Scot, born in Glasgow's east end and fiercly proud of it. The only good friends I have are all fly fishermen! My oldest friend davy duck fly on this site taught me the finer things about fly fishing, and I have, and continue to learn a great deal from the very fine anglers and fly tyers on this site.

So to any new or prospective members, I say get involved, ask questions, offer opinions and above all enjoy and have fun with this very excellent fly fishing site. You can only be enriched and benifit greatly.
